.300 AAC Blackout is a type of ammunition for firearms. It is classified as a (R)ifle caliber. .300 AAC Blackout is primarily intended to give the AR-15 platform a suitable .30-caliber (7.62mm) alternative to 5.56x45mm with minimal changes. It is fully compatible with all STANAG magazines.
.300 AAC Blackout is pronounced three hundred A-A-C Blackout.
This caliber may also be known as .300 Blackout, .300 BLK, or 7.62x35mm.
