.22 Long Rifle is a type of ammunition for firearms. It is classified as a (P)istol caliber.
.22 Long Rifle is prounced twenty-two long rifle. This caliber is unique, in that it is the only type of rimfire cartridge in the game, as opposed to most other calibers in the game, which are centerfire.
This caliber may also be known as 5.6x15mm R, and is often shortened to .22 LR or simply .22.
Notes
.22 Long Rifle ammunition cannot be handloaded. You can disassemble .22 LR ammunition for their powder (they contain small amounts of pistol powder, listed in the infobox), but they cannot be reassembled back, nor do they provide useful cases or projectiles. In other words, consider that disassembling .22 LR ammunition is equivalent to destroying it in exchange of pistol powder.
The projectile listed in the infobox (.220, 40 grain) is only provided for informational purposes (in particular, bullet weight), and cannot actually be obtained, as that particular type of projectile is not used in any other caliber of the game.
