Nutrition is a statistic, expressed as a numerical value with no decimals and the suffix ntri. When in reference to a creature, this represents their nutrition level. When in reference to an item (typically food or mushrooms), it refers to its nutritional value.
Nutrition levels
For nutrition levels to make any sense, a character's nutrition Baseline Value (BV) must be known. This value represents roughly one day's worth of food. Every day at the Daily Reset, your character will lose a quantity of nutrition equal to their BV.
Nutrition BV is defined as Base Limb Health value x 30. An average human has a Base Limb Health value of 70, therefore the average nutritional BV is 2100 ntri.
On the table below, the abbreviation nBV is used to represent a negative Baseline Value. For an average human, 1x nBV would be equal to -2100 ntri (missing one day's worth of food).
Nutrition levels have an upper limit at 3x BV, and a lower limit at 3x nBV.

Nutrition levels (average human) |
Status name | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
3x BV | 6300 ntri | Oversatiated | Agility -1, Minimum Fatigue is set to 20.0%. |
2x BV : 3x BV -1 ntri | 4200 : 6299 ntri | Satiated | Minimum Fatigue is set to 10.0%. |
1x BV : 2x BV -1 ntri | 2100 : 4199 ntri | Contented | No effects |
0 ntri : 1x BV -1 ntri | 0 : 2099 ntri | OK | No effects |
1x nBV +1 ntri : -1 ntri | -2099 : -1 ntri | Hungry | Strength -10% |
2x nBV +1 ntri : 1x nBV | -4199 : -2100 ntri | Famished | Strength -20%, Disabled natural healing |
3x nBV : 2x nBV | -6300 : -4200 ntri | Starving | Strength -30%, Disabled natural healing, Self-deterioration |
It is recommended to write down your particular character's Nutrition thresholds for each level.
Constitution
Defined during character customization for human and halfling characters, a character's constitution may affect their nutrition and hydration BV.
- If your character's constitution is athletic, your BV for both stats is multiplied by 1.25.
- Example: An average human (70 base limb health) with athletic constitution would have a nutrition BV of 2100 x 1.25 = 2625 ntri.
- If your character's constitution is muscular, your BV for both stats multiplied by 1.5.
- Example: An average human (70 base limb health) with muscular constitution would have a nutrition BV of 2100 x 1.5 = 3150 ntri.
