A style shop is a type of individual shop which specializes in creating custom clothing and armor and custom load-bearing equipment.

List of traits
* Positive traits are listed in green. Negative traits are listed in red.

Opening hours:
 +
* Towns: 24 hours a day, six days per week. Closed on Watersday for inventory.
 +
* Intersections: 12 hours a day (day shift only), six days per week. Closed on Watersday for inventory.
 +

 +
Style shops sell the following:
 +
* Clothing customization service
 +

 +
Style shops may also:
 +
* Does not buy back items. All sales are final.
 +
* Accept payment in cash or appraised valuables
 +
* Provide store credit (valid only at the specific location you obtained credit from - each store is independent)
 +
** Shops do not normally return change; it is automatically converted into store credit instead.
 +
* Transfer store credit into a customer's bank account (for a fee, see Bank).
 +
* Provide a delivery service into a customer's bank vault (for a fee and if the vault has enough space remaining, see Bank)

This service creates two categories of items: Custom clothing for humans/halflings, and custom youkai outfits. There is no need to bring an existing item to modify; the style shop creates new, completely unique items and outfits from scratch.
 +

 +
After ordering an item, it takes 1d6 time periods for the style shop to complete it, at which point it can be picked up if it hasn't been delivered to the item vault.

When ordering a new custom piece of clothing, you will be asked to fill out the following details:
 +

 +
* Name: Give your item a name.
 +
* Clothing slot: Select a clothing slot in which your piece of clothing is intended to be worn: Headgear, Top, Body armor, Arms addon, Bottom, Legs addon, Footwear.
 +
* Description: Describe the item with as much detail as possible.
 +
* Body parts protected: See the relevant section below.
 +
* Armor Class: Select the Armor Class of your custom piece of clothing: C1, C2, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5
 +
** If the selected AC is C1 or C2, the item is considered unarmored. Otherwise, it is considered armored.
 +
* Proof ratings: Select the Proof ratings of your custom piece of clothing: whether it protects against Blunt, Sharp, Piercing damage, and at -resistant or -PROOF level.
 +
* Additional effects: See the relevant section below.
 +
* Weight: A base Weight is determined by a combination of your selected Clothing slot and Armor Class. Increasing the item's Weight may reduce the price, decreasing it may increase it. See the Pricing section for details.
 +

 +
The exact set of traits and details should be discussed between the GM and players. Custom clothing is ultimately subject to the GM's approval. They also have the power to add effects they feel would be appropriate.
 +
* Example 1: If the piece of clothing is very revealing or does nothing to protect the wearer's modesty, it could violate exhibitionism laws.
 +
* Example 2: If the piece of clothing has written statements, particularly if they're aimed at a particular major figure or a faction, such as "I shit on Colonel Wight", it could piss off members of the Military angry on sight.

Custom human clothing: Body parts protected and base weight
 +

 +
Depending on the clothing slot the item belongs to, the list of body parts a custom piece of clothing can protect may vary, as long as the GM approves. Each clothing slot has a mandatory body part (it must protect at least this part) and a list of optional body parts, which can be added.
 +

 +
Certain specific body parts can be specified separately from the limb they belong to (e.g. elbows separately from the full arm, if you want a piece of clothing to only protect the elbows). These body parts are listed in parentheses.

Custom human clothing: Additional effects
 +
A custom piece of clothing may be given one of many effects for additional traits and protection, subject to GM approval as well. Depending on the clothing slot the item belongs to, the list of compatible effects may vary.

Certain effects have variants; your item can only have one variant at a time. Variants are listed offset under a relevant effect. E.g.: "Powered, large battery" is a variant of "Powered, standard battery". You cannot select both on the same item, you can only have either one or neither.

Custom youkai outfits
 +

 +
When ordering a new custom youkai outfit, you will be asked to fill out the following details:
 +

 +
* Name: Give your item a name.
 +
* Description: Describe the item with as much detail as possible.
 +
* Youkai body type: Determine which youkai body type this outfit is intended for: Type H, Type S, Type T, Type U, Type W. Type H clothing is more expensive.
 +
* Armor Class tier modifier: Select the number of Armor Class tiers this custom outfit will give, from +0 to +7.
 +
* Proof ratings: Select the Proof ratings of your custom piece of clothing: whether it protects against Blunt, Sharp, Piercing damage, and at -resistant or -PROOF level.
 +
* Additional effects: See the relevant section below.
 +
* Weight: The base Weight for all custom youkai outfits is 9 (or 14 for Type H clothes). Increasing the item's Weight may reduce the price, decreasing it may increase it. See the Pricing section for details.
 +

 +
As with human clothing, the exact set of traits and details should be discussed between the GM and players. Custom clothing is ultimately subject to the GM's approval. They also have the power to add effects they feel would be appropriate.
 +

 +
Custom youkai outfits: Additional effects
 +

 +
A custom youkai outfit may be given one of many effects for additional traits and protection, subject to GM approval as well.
 +

 +
Certain effects have variants; your item can only have one variant at a time. Variants are listed offset under a relevant effect. E.g.: "Powered, large battery" is a variant of "Powered, standard battery". You cannot select both on the same item, you can only have either one or neither.
 +

 +
Applicable effects:
 +
* Agility modifier

Effects

This subsection details how the Heinous past traits function.
+
Additional effects may further influence the price, either by a flat rate or a multiplier.

* Heinous past (neutral town): This character is banned from one neutral town (specify which, subject to GM approval), attempting to re-enter that town will result in an attempt to arrest or kill the character. At the GM’s discretion, people affiliated with that town may hire mercenaries to form a death squad specifically targeting the character which can appear at random moments.
+
{| class="wikitable" style="font-size:10pt"
* Heinous past (faction): As above, but applies to an entire faction and every town controlled by that faction. Members of that faction will attack the character on sight when met in the UA, and that faction may form a death squad specifically targeting the character which can appear at random moments.
+
|-
** Although this trait is intended to be used with a major faction, you may ask the GM to take the trait with a minor faction if it makes sense for your character. As minor factions do not control any towns, it is up to the GM to make the difference in one way or another (e.g., reducing the point gain to +2, increasing the amount of death squads, etc.)

If your character also has the Sworn Nemesis trait, the Sworn Nemesis may be part of (or be) the death squad.

Final pricing

Just can't use this
+
If the total cost of any item were to be less than 25 after calculation, it is set to 25.

For every level of this trait taken, you must select two combat skills. The selected skills become restricted. You may take up to 4 levels in this trait, resulting in up to 8 restricted combat skills. All restricted combat skills must be marked as such on your character sheet.
+
Custom load-bearing equipment
 +
When ordering a new custom piece of LBE, you will be asked to fill out the following details:

A restricted combat skill cannot receive any Training Points or any Skill Points, effectively permanently locking it at Unskilled level.
+
* Name: Give your item a name.
 +
* LBE type: Select the type of LBE you want to have made: Tactical vest, Backpack, Utility belt, Leg rig.
 +
* Description: Describe the item with as much detail as possible.

Murphy's Law
+
LBE capacities
 +
Your custom LBE's carrying capacity and traits vary depending on the type and the options you select. All LBE items are foldable, and their storage weight depends on their type (and, for backpacks, their general capacity). In addition, all backpacks come with a money pouch, and all utility belts come with a key item pouch.

A character with this trait is phenomenally unlucky, and it is up to the GM to manifest these bouts of bad luck. They can be inconvenient and annoying (but ultimately harmless), or they can have real and serious effects (imparting damage or Effects to the character). It's all up to the GM.
+
Besides these permanent traits, all other aspects of a custom LBE item can be customized. For any values listed under Variables, the customer must select a number within the range listed. For example, if ordering pistol magazines for your tactical vest, you can choose the number of magazines it can hold according to the values under Variables; in this case, any number between 1 and 12.

Suggestions:
+
Pricing is equal to the item's base price plus the general and special capacity costs.
* Lights going out in a UA room without warning, plunging the character into environmental darkness
+
* Radios or TVs failing when operated by the character, possibly shocking them and delivering Pain
+
* Sinks, showers, toilets suddenly failing and bursting a pipe, coating the character in sewage water and giving them a water-soaked effect
+
* And anything else you can come up with...
+

Permanent addiction
+
Tactical vests
 +
The base price of a tactical vest is 100.

For the purposes of this trait, all addictions are categorized into tiers:
+
General capacity: Minimum 0 units, maximum 8 units.
* Low tier: Nicotine, Alcohol, Cannabis
+
* Add 100 for every 1 unit of general capacity.
* Medium tier: Amphetamine, Benzo, MDMA, Opioid
+
* High tier: Anabolic steroids, Cocaine, PCP, Magic mushrooms
+

A character may have up to 3 permanent addictions of any tier. The amount of points granted depends on the tier.

A character may have up to 3 phobias of any kind.

The two phobia types are as follows:
+
Notes
* Phobia (single creature): Select a particular creature. If your character enters Combat mode against at least one individual of that species, your character gains an FT +1 effect.
+
This section is intended for GMs.
* Phobia (category): Select an entire creature category. If your character enters Combat mode against at least one member of this category, your character gains an FT +1 effect.
+

Restrictions: You cannot select the Humans, Halflings, Youkai, Angelic, Demonic or any of their members to be the subject of a Phobia.
+
Shop generation
 +
Style shops do not carry any inventory (all items sold are made to order), there are no special generation rules for this shop.

Sworn Nemesis
+
Recommendations
If your character possesses this trait, your character is hunted by a nemesis of some kind. The nemesis's apparent sole purpose in life is to kill the player character. The exact reasons, details, and backstory regarding that nemesis should be discussed between the GM and the player, with the following considerations and recommendations:
+
If you're unsure whether a custom clothing item or outfit is unbalanced, read these recommendations.

* The nemesis's reasons should be reasonably unshakeable (it shouldn't be possible to convince them with a single check)
+
* If it looks like the player is trying to build something silly or is attempting to min-max, you have the right to say no!
* The nemesis's reasons should make sense with the player character's backstory and motivations
+
* Tops, bottoms, and footwear with an Armor Class of A2 or more should be either refused or made extra expensive.
* The nemesis may show up at any moment the GM deems necessary.
+
* Clothing with the Powered effect should not be made available immediately; it is recommended to make unlocking this a quest reward, or at the very least make it very expensive (adding several tens of thousands to the price should be fair)
* The nemesis should be appropriately armed, skilled, equipped, and prepared to kill the player character.
+
* If there is an agreement between the GM and the player on the matter, the nemesis may share the same death system as the player character, potentially allowing the nemesis to come back regularly.
+
* If the player character also has the Heinous Past trait, this may play into the nemesis's backstory, and he may even be part of the death squads (or even be the death squads).

Navigation: Main Page Civilized Areas Facilities Individual shop Style shop

A style shop is a type of individual shop which specializes in creating custom clothing and armor and custom load-bearing equipment.

Shop rules

Opening hours:

  • Towns: 24 hours a day, six days per week. Closed on Watersday for inventory.
  • Intersections: 12 hours a day (day shift only), six days per week. Closed on Watersday for inventory.

Style shops sell the following:

  • Clothing customization service

Style shops may also:

  • Does not buy back items. All sales are final.
  • Accept payment in cash or appraised valuables
  • Provide store credit (valid only at the specific location you obtained credit from - each store is independent)
    • Shops do not normally return change; it is automatically converted into store credit instead.
  • Transfer store credit into a customer's bank account (for a fee, see Bank).
  • Provide a delivery service into a customer's bank vault (for a fee and if the vault has enough space remaining, see Bank)

Clothing customization service

This service creates two categories of items: Custom clothing for humans/halflings, and custom youkai outfits. There is no need to bring an existing item to modify; the style shop creates new, completely unique items and outfits from scratch.

After ordering an item, it takes 1d6 time periods for the style shop to complete it, at which point it can be picked up if it hasn't been delivered to the item vault.

Custom human clothing

When ordering a new custom piece of clothing, you will be asked to fill out the following details:

  • Name: Give your item a name.
  • Clothing slot: Select a clothing slot in which your piece of clothing is intended to be worn: Headgear, Top, Body armor, Arms addon, Bottom, Legs addon, Footwear.
  • Description: Describe the item with as much detail as possible.
  • Body parts protected: See the relevant section below.
  • Armor Class: Select the Armor Class of your custom piece of clothing: C1, C2, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5
    • If the selected AC is C1 or C2, the item is considered unarmored. Otherwise, it is considered armored.
  • Proof ratings: Select the Proof ratings of your custom piece of clothing: whether it protects against Blunt, Sharp, Piercing damage, and at -resistant or -PROOF level.
  • Additional effects: See the relevant section below.
  • Weight: A base Weight is determined by a combination of your selected Clothing slot and Armor Class. Increasing the item's Weight may reduce the price, decreasing it may increase it. See the Pricing section for details.

The exact set of traits and details should be discussed between the GM and players. Custom clothing is ultimately subject to the GM's approval. They also have the power to add effects they feel would be appropriate.

  • Example 1: If the piece of clothing is very revealing or does nothing to protect the wearer's modesty, it could violate exhibitionism laws.
  • Example 2: If the piece of clothing has written statements, particularly if they're aimed at a particular major figure or a faction, such as "I shit on Colonel Wight", it could piss off members of the Military angry on sight.

Custom human clothing: Body parts protected and base weight

Depending on the clothing slot the item belongs to, the list of body parts a custom piece of clothing can protect may vary, as long as the GM approves. Each clothing slot has a mandatory body part (it must protect at least this part) and a list of optional body parts, which can be added.

Certain specific body parts can be specified separately from the limb they belong to (e.g. elbows separately from the full arm, if you want a piece of clothing to only protect the elbows). These body parts are listed in parentheses.

Custom youkai outfits

When ordering a new custom youkai outfit, you will be asked to fill out the following details:

  • Name: Give your item a name.
  • Description: Describe the item with as much detail as possible.
  • Youkai body type: Determine which youkai body type this outfit is intended for: Type H, Type S, Type T, Type U, Type W. Type H clothing is more expensive.

As with human clothing, the exact set of traits and details should be discussed between the GM and players. Custom clothing is ultimately subject to the GM's approval. They also have the power to add effects they feel would be appropriate.

Custom youkai outfits: Additional effects

A custom youkai outfit may be given one of many effects for additional traits and protection, subject to GM approval as well.

Certain effects have variants; your item can only have one variant at a time. Variants are listed offset under a relevant effect. E.g.: "Powered, large battery" is a variant of "Powered, standard battery". You cannot select both on the same item, you can only have either one or neither.

Custom load-bearing equipment

When ordering a new custom piece of LBE, you will be asked to fill out the following details:

  • Name: Give your item a name.
  • LBE type: Select the type of LBE you want to have made: Tactical vest, Backpack, Utility belt, Leg rig.
  • Description: Describe the item with as much detail as possible.

LBE capacities

Your custom LBE's carrying capacity and traits vary depending on the type and the options you select. All LBE items are foldable, and their storage weight depends on their type (and, for backpacks, their general capacity). In addition, all backpacks come with a money pouch, and all utility belts come with a key item pouch.

Pricing is equal to the item's base price plus the general and special capacity costs.

Shop generation

Style shops do not carry any inventory (all items sold are made to order), there are no special generation rules for this shop.

Recommendations

If you're unsure whether a custom clothing item or outfit is unbalanced, read these recommendations.

  • If it looks like the player is trying to build something silly or is attempting to min-max, you have the right to say no!
  • Tops, bottoms, and footwear with an Armor Class of A2 or more should be either refused or made extra expensive.
  • Clothing with the Powered effect should not be made available immediately; it is recommended to make unlocking this a quest reward, or at the very least make it very expensive (adding several tens of thousands to the price should be fair)
