"One of many 5.56mm combat rifles available in the Mazes, the FAMAS is also one of the bullpup offerings on the roster. Though it is the butt of many bugle-related jokes, it is still an interesting and serviceable firearm, offering semi-automatic, 3-round burst, and automatic fire modes, complete with a high rate of fire. The G1 model only accepts proprietary magazines, does not feature the integrated bipod, but possesses an M16-style barrel, complete with threading and an A2 birdcage flash hider, so that you may attach any muzzle device you need. I recommend a muzzle brake if you use full-auto often!" |

The GIAT FAMAS F1 (also called FAMAS G1 or simply FAMAS) is a 5.56x45mm NATO combat rifle.
Maze Customs
This weapon can receive the following minor customization services:
- FAMAS G2
- FAMAS L
- Combination: FAMAS G2/L
FAMAS G2
This improved version of the FAMAS restores certain features seen in the older, less reliable F1 model, as well as introducing much-needed new features. The surrender sticks integrated bipod sticks are back, and the magazine well is replaced with one capable of accepting STANAG magazines. A simple upgrade that makes a lot of sense.
Modifications:
- Feeding: Becomes STANAG magazines
- Underbarrel mount standard accessory: Becomes Bipod (integrated).
FAMAS L
The old carrying handle, iron sights, and charging handle are all deleted and replaced; a new lowered carrying handle featuring newer integrated iron sights and a full-length NATO optics rail, and a redesigned side-pointed charging handle which no longer reciprocates with every shot. Now your FAMAS can be equipped with the optics of your choice! L stands for "Lowered", as the modifications make the firearm (and the sight over bore) less tall.
Modifications:
- Optics: Becomes NATO mount.
FAMAS G2/L
With a full-length lowered NATO rail and STANAG magazine compatibility, who needs an AUG anymore?
This is a two-step modification from the original weapon, which combines the effects of the FAMAS G2 and FAMAS L conversions.
Modifications:
- Optics: Becomes NATO mount.
- Feeding: Becomes STANAG magazines
- Underbarrel mount standard accessory: Becomes Bipod (integrated).
Other information
- Bayonet compatibility: DLT FAMAS bayonet
