"No, this is not a prop for the latest episode of Mazeship Troopers. This is the LAPA FA-03, a peculiar bullpup rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm. Despite the alien looks, the FA-03 is a more comfortable weapon than it looks! Try and get a feel for it, you may be surprised. Besides offering three fire modes, this rifle is notable for lacking a safety mechanism. Instead, it employs a peculiar action lever allowing the shooter to set it to single-action or double-action mode, much like a revolver. The instruction manual recommends setting the rifle to "DA" if you wish to avoid accidental discharges, as it makes the trigger heavy and stiff... much like a revolver."
