"The Universal Self-loading Pistol directly descends from the humongous Mark 23, bringing the form factor to a more reasonable size but preserving all of its qualities. The USP was designed to meet one objective: to be nothing less than the most reliable combat pistol family in the Mazes. Following the same "offensive handgun" design philosophy as its predecessor, the USP is so durable and so overbuilt, it beat almost all other handgun models on the market at all known torture tests. It's so good, I honestly think this pistol's purpose is to survive a 30-year campaign through the depths of Hell itself and come back out still accurate and functional. This model is the original .40 S&W version, featuring a 13-round magazine." |

The Heckler & Koch USP40 (also called H&K USP40, USP40 or simply USP; alternatively rendered USP-40) is a .40 S&W pistol.
Maze Customs
This weapon can receive the following minor customization services:
- USP40 Elite
- USP357
- Combination: USP357 Elite
USP40 Elite
This conversion changes the barrel, slide, and sights to the Elite version. The 4.25-inch barrel is replaced with a longer 6.1-inch model, complete with an appropriate slide and set of adjustable target sights. It is just long enough to offer increased damage compared to the standard version, without impacting the Weight rating.
Modifications:
- Barrel length: Becomes 6.1 inches.
USP357
Long touted as impossible, until about five years ago, the USP40 can now be converted to .357 SIG, after a magazine geometry issue was finally resolved. Now your USP can proudly bear the mythical .357 slide markings.
Modifications:
- Caliber: Becomes .357 SIG.
USP357 Elite
Naturally, you can get a .357 SIG version of the Elite barrel too.
This is a two-step modification from the original weapon, which combines the effects of the USP40 Elite and USP357 conversions.
Modifications:
- Barrel length: Becomes 6.1 inches.
- Caliber: Becomes .357 SIG.
