4.73x33mm Caseless is a type of ammunition for firearms. It is considered to be a (R)ifle caliber, although a very special one.
This cartridge was originally designed for the ambitious Heckler & Koch G11 rifle, of which the latest iteration, the G11K2, is available in the Mazes. Although ammunition in this caliber is regularly produced, it requires specialized, dedicated machinery and is therefore relatively rare, as new batches are produced only on an occasional basis.
4.73x33mm is pronounced four point seventy-three by thirty-three millimeters.
This caliber may also be referred to as 4.73x33mm G11 (after the firearm it was designed for), or simply 4.73x33mm.
Notes
4.73x33mm Caseless ammunition cannot be handloaded or disassembled. Due to the caseless nature of the cartridge, there is no traditional case or powder; the 'brick' is a block of solid propellant that is disintegrated upon firing, propelling the bullet it contains forwards.
The projectile listed in the infobox (.185, 51 grain) is only provided for informational purposes (in particular, bullet weight), and cannot actually be obtained, as that particular type of projectile is not used in any other caliber of the game.

Retail information
4.73x33mm Caseless ammunition can be purchased in gun shops and weapon shops in boxes of 50 rounds or bulk cans of 1000 rounds.
The following brands and projectile types are available in retail:
Brand name | Composition | Available projectile types |
---|---|---|
Standard | Reg/SP | FMJ (1.0x) Match (3.0x) AP (1.5x) |
Improved | Reg/+P | FMJ (1.1x) Match (3.3x) AP (1.65x) |
The multipliers listed correspond to the value multipliers to cost of ammunition provided by powder type, pressure level, and projectile type. They are included on this table as a convenience, in order to tell at a glance the cost of a given brand and projectile combination.
NOTE: Despite being a (R)ifle caliber, 4.73x33mm Caseless is the only rifle caliber in the game with High Pressure (+P) ammunition available. This is a design choice not based on any real design, and is simply meant to be a fun 'what-if' of what improved, more powerful solid propellants would be like.
