"Under its modern looks lies the action of the beast of steel and wood that was the M1918 BAR. The HCAR (Heavy Counter-Assault Rifle) is essentially a modernized, closed-bolt BAR, and though it is semi-automatic only, it is chambered for the same .30-06 Springfield caliber, and accepts the same magazines. In fact, the HCAR comes standard with a huge 30-round magazine! Unlike the old BAR, however, the HCAR exemplifies what it means to modernize an old design; it is fitted with a 16-inch barrel and lightweight polymer furniture (including a retractable M4 style stock) and it has plenty of rails for all of your accessories." |

The Ohio Ordnance HCAR (also simply called HCAR) is a .30-06 Springfield conventional rifle.
Maze Customs
This weapon can receive the following minor customization services:
- HCAR FA
- HCAR LB
- Combination: HCAR FALB
HCAR FA
Return the HCAR to its roots, and give it back what it was truly designed for: a full-auto setting.
Modifications:
- Category: Becomes Combat rifle.
- Fire modes: Becomes Semi/Full, AutoROF 4.
HCAR LB
Though it will make this weapon heavier, fitting the HCAR with a 20-inch barrel will restore enough muzzle velocity (and therefore, power) to be worthy of a rifle rather than that of a carbine.
Modifications:
- Barrel length: Becomes 20 inches.
- Weight: Becomes 30 units.
HCAR FALB
No relation to the FAL or pretty Gaulish women, though it can be argued that the long barrel and full-auto setting do turn the HCAR into an even prettier gun than ever before.
This is a two-step modification from the original weapon, which combines the effects of the HCAR FA and HCAR LB conversions.
Modifications:
- Category: Becomes Combat rifle.
- Fire modes: Becomes Semi/Full, AutoROF 4.
- Barrel length: Becomes 20 inches.
- Weight: Becomes 30 units.
