"The BFR is a humongous revolver designed to shoot humongous cartridges, and this particular version has a five-shot "long" cylinder designed to accomodate very long cartridges, chambered in .30-30 Winchester - no, I'm not joking. This model has a ten-inch barrel, which, while it won't be as good as your Marlin or Winchester, it at least doesn't rob the bullet of too much muzzle velocity. But chances are, if you're carrying a handgun this big, "subtlety" and "practicality" are not in your vocabulary. And, lemme level with you for a second. Officially, BFR stands for Big Frame Revolver, but c'mon. We all know what the letters BFR really stand for."

Trivia
Although the official meaning of the acronym "BFR" is Big Frame Revolver, a number of possibly less-official names have been given to this revolver, all of which have been more or less acknowledged in real life:
- Big, Fine Revolver
- Biggest, Finest Revolver
- Big Fucking Revolver
