"Don't confuse it for the .44 AMP Auto Mag; this pistol is one of the Automags (without space) that were produced afterward. Despite the name, the Automag pistol family has nothing in common with its .44-caliber predecessor; these have a more traditional Browning-type action. This version is the Automag III, chambered in .30 Carbine. Although not quite magnum-caliber power, especially with a 6.5-inch barrel, the .30 Carbine chambering makes the Automag III a natural companion handgun for a primary in the same caliber, such as an M1 or M2 carbine."
