Tips for Game Masters |
The Pulse Rifle and its ammunition are intended to be the ultimate endgame firearm in MazeWorld, if not the endgame weapon. Although the weapon and ammunition are already prohibitively expensive, GMs should avoid making them readily available in stores and reconsider letting NPCs have one unless you know what you're doing. The in-universe explanation is that despite the fact both the weapons and ammunition are standard retail items, only small numbers of each are produced every year, resulting in these weapons being almost always out of stock. On the off chance that one rifle or a few hundred rounds hit the store shelves, they are usually snatched up immediately. Feel free to play with this idea and play up the mythical status of the Pulse Rifle in your games. |
