= Reusability =
Unlike many other ammunition types, Small bolts can be '''reused''' under specific conditions.
 
* Critical hits, hits, and inaccurate hits: The bolt remains in the target and can be reused.
* Misses: The bolt survives and can be reused.
* Critical failures: The bolt's shaft breaks, and cannot be reused.
 
Only two exceptions apply:
* Improvised field heads (IMP): Misses will break the shaft, as with critical failures.
