Metal ores contain, as the name suggests, valuable metals.

All metal ore bundles have the following properties:
* Mineral name
* Ore type and percentage value (this percentage represents the actual percentage content of the
* A rarity indicator; From lowest to highest rarity: cheap, common, rare, or very rare
* A mass in grams
* Weight in Weight units

The exact value of a metal ore bundle depends on its mass and its composition. For example, '''genericite''' is listed as a '''silver ore (86%)''', meaning that 86% of the ore bundle's mass is made out of silver. A 800 gram bundle of genericite would therefore be made out of (0.86 x 800) = 688 grams of silver ore. It could be exchanged for the monetary value of 688 grams of silver, or for a [[Valuables#Precious metals|500 gram silver bar]] plus the monetary value of 188 grams of silver.
