== Casino Yatzy ==

A variant of the classic dice game, [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yatzy yatzy]. This is a fast-paced variant best enjoyed on bar counters around friends and a drink.

=== Casino yatzy: Bet limits ===
* Players: 1
* Minimum bet: 1 chip
* Maximum bet: 100 chips

=== Casino yatzy: How to play ===
* Place your bet.
* Roll five six-sided dice ('''5d6''') once. Unless you rolled a special combo (see below), select a number between 1 and 6.
* Set aside any singles, pairs, triplets, or quads of that number from your first roll; these set-aside dice are "banked". You may roll the unbanked dice again, up to twice more to try and get more of the number you selected.
* After rolling three times, count the number of dice (both banked and not banked) featuring the number you selected earlier.
** 0, 1 (single), or 2 (pair): '''Losing hand'''. Your bet is lost.
** 3 (triplet): Your bet is returned to you (you win '''1x''' your bet).
** 4 (quad): You win '''2x''' your bet.
** 5 (yatzy): You win '''4x''' your bet.

=== Casino yatzy: Special combos ===
* '''Golden yatzy:''' If you roll a yatzy on your first throw, you automatically win '''20x''' your bet.
* '''Big straight:''' If you roll 23456 on your first throw, you automatically win '''11x''' your bet.
* '''Little straight:''' If you roll 12345 on your first throw, you automatically win '''9x''' your bet.
* '''Full house:''' If you roll a pair of one number plus a triplet of different numbers on the first throw, you automatically win '''7x''' your bet.
* '''Double pair gambit:''' If you roll two pairs on the first throw, you may bank it then roll the remaining die '''once'''. If the result would turn one of the pairs into a triplet (thus forming a full house), you win '''3x''' your bet.

== Cee-lo ==

A classic dice game. Played with three dice and a (clean) bowl, it is as popular in casino lounges as it is on the streets, where this game was born.

This game is known under many different names, such as ''See-low'' or ''Four-five-six''. In [[Youkai-go]], it is variously known as '''チロ''' (chiro), '''チンチロリン''' (chinchirorin) or '''四五六''' (yongoroku, transliterates to "four-five-six"). "Chiro" is an approximation of the name "Cee-lo", and "Chinchirorin" is said to be the sound dice make when they're thrown into the bowl.

=== Cee-lo: Bet limits ===
* Players: 3 plus banker
* Minimum bet: 20 chips
* Maximum bet: 2000 chips

=== Cee-lo: How to play ===
* '''Determining the banker and player roll order:''' Traditionally, the banker is determined at the start of each round, by having each player roll three six-sided dice ('''3d6'''); whoever rolls the highest amount of points becomes the banker. The second-highest score is the first player to roll, the third-highest is the second to roll, and the lowest is the last to roll.
** In casino lounges, the bartender is always the banker. Players still roll to determine the player roll order.
* Each player places a bet.
* Every participant rolls three six-sided dice ('''3d6''') up to 3 times to attempt forming a valid set or one of the special combos.
** A valid set is a pair of the same numbers plus a single of a different number. The single die determines the participant's score, ranging from 1 to 6. (e.g. if you roll a 446, your score is 6.)
** If no valid set or special combo has been rolled in three attempts, the score is considered to be '''0''', which almost always guarantees a loss.
* The banker rolls first, and the other players roll one after the other in the decided order. The objective of the players is to beat the banker's score.
* If a player loses, the banker takes their bet away. If a player wins with a regular valid set, they make '''2x''' their bet back. Special combos have different payouts.

=== Cee-lo: Special combos ===
* '''All-Odds''': 1-3-5. If the banker or the first player in order rolls all-odds, their score is 3. Otherwise, their score is equal to that of the previous participant.
* '''All-Evens''': 2-4-6. If the banker or the last player in order rolls all-evens, their score is 4. Otherwise, their score is equal to that of the previous participant. (If the first player rolls all-evens, their score is equal to that of the banker.)
* '''Musashi''': 6-3-4. Equals a score of 6.
* '''Cee-lo''': 4-5-6. '''Automatic win'''.
** If a banker rolls a cee-lo, all players lose immediately.
** If a player rolls a cee-lo, they immediately win '''2x''' their bet.
* '''Triple''': 2-2-2, 3-3-3, 4-4-4, 5-5-5, 6-6-6. '''Automatic win'''.
** If the banker rolls a triple, all players lose immediately.
** If a player rolls a triple, they immediately win '''3x''' their bet.
* '''Triple 1''': 1-1-1. '''Automatic win'''.
** If the banker rolls a triple 1, all players must pay twice their best, effectively equal to losing twice.
** If a player rolls a triple 1, they immediately win '''5x''' their bet.
* '''Asshole''': 1-2-3. '''Automatic loss'''.
** If the banker rolls an asshole, every player wins '''2x''' their bet (known as '''breaking the bank''').
** If a player rolls an asshole, they must pay twice their bet, effectively equal to losing twice.

== Chou-han ==

A classic dice game. Very fast-paced and best-enjoyed with lots of players (at least four, but the more the merrier). The name is a [[youkai-go]] term ('''丁半''') which means "evens and odds".

The traditional setting for a game of chou-han is sitting on tatami rolls, but it has become quite popular in casinos and bars as well.

=== Chou-han: Bet limits ===
* Players: 4-8 plus banker
* Minimum bet: 1 chip
* Maximum bet: 1000 chips

=== Chou-han: How to play ===
* The banker uses a pair of six-sided dice ('''2d6''') and an opaque cup, and is the only one allowed to roll the dice.
* Every player places a bet by selecting either '''chou''' ('''丁''', evens), '''han''' ('''半''', odds), or a number of their choosing between 2 and 12. Players are allowed to change their bet until the "No more bets!" call.
* The banker places the dice in an opaque cup and rolls it audibly until they call "No more bets!", at which point each player must confirm their bet.
* When all bets have been confirmed, the banker reveals the roll result.
** If the result is 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12, then '''chou''' wins.
** If the result is 3, 5, 7, 9, or 11, then '''han''' wins.
* All losers' bets are added to a pot.
* Winners by chou or han win '''2x''' their bet back.
* Winners who called the correct number win '''2x''' their bet back plus the losers' pot.
** If multiple winners called the correct number, the pot is divided evenly (or as close to evenly) as possible between each winner.
** If there are no winners calling the correct number, then the bank absorbs the losers' bets.
