"Although the M79 is a simple and well-designed grenade launcher, its biggest drawback is its single-shot nature. The Springfield T148E1 was one of the very first multi-shot grenade launchers, attempting to solve the single-shot problem by using a 3-shot, harmonica-style magazine. The result is a weapon that operates fairly similarly to the original M79 but with triple the firepower." |

The Springfield T148E1 (also called T148E1 or simply T148) is a grenade launcher designed to fire 40mm NATO grenades.
Maze Customs
This weapon can receive the following minor customization services:
- T148E1 XM, T148E1 XXM, or T148E1 SXXM
T148E1 XM
One of the crazier engineers at Maze Customs figured out that in theory, there's nothing stopping the T148E1's harmonica magazine from being longer, therefore accepting more ammunition. Sure, it's going to be heavier, but... More ammunition. This is the first version of that modification. XM stands for eXtended Magazine.
Modifications:
- Weight: Becomes 14 units
- Feeding, standard capacity: Becomes 5-round capacity.
T148E1 XXM
XXM stands for eXtra eXtended Magazine. The concept is being taken even further... Now, the 7-shot harmonica magazine is nearly as long as the entire barrel assembly. Unwieldy? Yes. Awesome? Totally.
Modifications:
- Weight: Becomes 22 units
- Feeding, standard capacity: Becomes 7-round capacity.
T148E1 SXXM
Did you really think we'd stop there?! SXXM stands for Super eXtra eXtended Magazine. It's a total pig, the magazine is nearly as long as the whole weapon... But have you ever wanted your grenade launcher to hold nine rounds?!
Modifications:
- Weight: Becomes 26 units
- Feeding, standard capacity: Becomes 9-round capacity.
