The Mad Minute is an ability and a combat technique.
The technique was named as such due to the original specifications of the speed shooting competition; the shooter has one minute to fire (and, frequently, reload) as many shots as possible on a target, and the shooter is graded on the amount of hits scored as well as their accuracy, using the numbers on the target to attribute points.
The technique consists of learning a method of "palming" the bolt handle on one's particular bolt-action rifle in order to quickly cycle it between shots, increasing the shooter's effective rate of fire. Certain rifles are better suited than others for this task, though it seems to mostly depend on the shooter and their level of familiarity with their rifles.
This ability is not initially available and must be unlocked. To unlock this ability, your character must reach Expert level in the Bolt-action combat skill.
Once unlocked, to be able to perform this combat technique, your character must be equipped with the following:
- A firearm capable of using bolt-action mode.
If you meet the skill and weapon requirements, you can perform Mad Minute, which will result in the following:
