| "Pronounced "Kay-Bar", the KA-BAR is the ur-example of the multipurpose fighting knife, as useful for combat as it is for utility purposes. The origin of the name is unknown - it is theorized that the first knife of its type was engraved with the words "Kill A BeAR" but that most of the letters faded over the years, leaving only KA-BAR. Although they are very common and quite popular, they are also symbolic of a particular breed of fighters, the sort that is capable of taking a knife to a gunfight and come out winning." |
