Year 1950

"After the StG-44 came into existence alongside terms such as "assault rifle" and "combat rifle," experiments quickly began to try and refine the concept. While successors such as the G3 or the AK (and their own descendants) are more well-known, what came before these, but after the StG-44? The CEAM Model 1950 is it. Superficially similar to the G3 rifle and employing the same type of roller-delayed blowback action, the Model 1950 actually came first, bringing a competently designed select-fire .30 Carbine platform to the table, complete with integrated bipod and folding stock. While it is a tad heavy, it is an undeniable piece of firearm history and a mechanical oddity that is sure to delight any gun enthusiast."
