Navigation: Main Page Game mechanics Statistics

Every player character has a number of statistics (or stats, in short), all of which are represented on the character sheet. This page is here to help you read and understand each part of the sheet and learn how to use and edit it as required. Blank character sheet template

Personal information

As the name suggests, this section contains all of your character's personal information; name, nickname or callsign, age, sex, species, constitution, skin color, height, weight, hair length, hair color, eye color, and species-specific features (if applicable). By and large, this is largely for informative purposes and is not meant to be changed during the course of a session (though of course, that's not a hard rule). If you so desire, you can also add your own name to the sheet alongside that of your character, if you believe it would be helpful to differentiate which player owns which character.

All of the information here is explained during Character creation and Character customization, so if you need help on how to fill these out, refer to these pages.

Primary statistics

Primary statistics represent the natural levels of some of your character's statistics - or in other words, their values without equipment or effects active. The exact values of these natural statistics depend on your species and choices during customization.

They are:

  • Natural Pain Sensitivity
  • Natural Strength
  • Natural Pain Blackout Threshold
  • Natural Max Blood
  • Base Limb Health value
  • Natural Endurance
  • Natural Agility
  • Natural Armor Class
  • Daily Reset

Each of these stats is related to one of the stats in the sections below.

  • Blood is listed in the General health section.
  • Pain Sensitivity, Strength, Pain Blackout Threshold, Endurance, Agility and Armor Class are listed in the Combat and accuracy section.
    • If your character is human or halfling, your natural AC is always C1, and your actual AC depends on your equipped clothing and armor. In such cases, you can omit listing your natural and actual AC entirely from your sheet if you so desire.
  • Base Limb Health value determines the character's maximum health for each of their limbs, which can be seen in the Limb health map section.
  • Daily Reset - see below.

Daily Reset

For more information, see Daily Reset.

This subsection details the amount of nutrition and hydration lost at the start of every day. The exact amounts depend on your character's Base Limb Health value and constitution. A reminder of how to calculate Daily Reset values is provided on the sheet.

Vital statistics

This section tracks your character's current statistics. They represent various metrics tracking your character's health, condition, location in the world, and any special abilities the character possesses.

There are six subcategories: Time and place, General health, Combat and accuracy, Limb health map and Injury map, Injuries, and Special stats.

Time and place

See Time for more information.

This section should be mostly self-explanatory. In this section, the current date, time, and location of your character are tracked. You should be able to request date and time from the GM at any moment, and the GM should, in turn, keep you updated on any changes in date and time. This is important, if only to figure out when the next Daily Reset is occurring.

Your location may either be a specific place or address in a Civilized Area, or a route in the UA, in which case you may also use the UA traveling tab to keep count of how many UA rooms you need to travel until reaching the next destination.

The GM should keep track of the current date and time, as well as the current position of the player characters, so that they may inform the players of where and when they are at any moment.

General health

The statistics included in this section are as follows:

Combat and accuracy

The statistics included in this section are as follows:

Limb health map and Injury map

This section of the character sheet includes a complete map of each of the character's limbs, current health and maximum health for each, as well as the amount and type of injuries.

For more details, please see Limb health, which also includes information on Injuries (Wounds and Fractures).

Special stats

This small section of the character sheet is used to add special statistics as necessary, as well as listing any special abilities relevant to this character. It does not list the regular Abilities that every character is capable of performing.

Secondary effects

This section of the sheet is dedicated to listing any active Effects on your character. Effects may be positive, negative, or a mix of both. Typically, effects are temporary; either limited in time, or active due to a certain set of conditions. On rare occasions, they can last indefinitely, or even be permanent.

Equipped weapons

This section of the sheet is used to list the type and stats of every Weapon the character has equipped, as well as any martial arts techniques, with one subsection for each.

Weapons

Every character can carry up to 6 different weapons in six different categories: Primary 1, Primary 2, Auxiliary, Holster 1, Holster 2 and Handgear.

  • The Primary slots accept Class 1, Class 2 and Class 5L weapons.
  • The Auxiliary slot only accepts Class 2 weapons.
  • The Holster slots accept Class 3 and Class 5S weapons.
  • The Handgear slot only accepts Class HG weapons, and the absence of an equipped weapon in this slot means that the character has Bare fists instead.

Techniques and special attacks

If the character is capable of performing any special attacks using something other than one of their weapons or any of the basic Unarmed combat techniques (Punch and Kick), all of these techniques must be listed in that subsection.

Equipped clothing and armor

This section of the inventory sheet varies depending on whether the character is a human/halfling or a youkai, but in both cases, they refer to the types of Clothing and armor equipped on the character's body.

If human or halfling, this character always has an Armor Class of C1, but they wear clothing and armor designed for humans, which involves six slots: Headgear, Top, Body armor, Arms addons, Bottom, Legs addons, and Footwear.

If youkai, this character's natural Armor Class may vary depending on their species, and only have the possibility to wear so-called youkai outfits. Outfits fit into a single slot.

Inventory and gear

As it implies, the part of the sheet that's all about your inventory and carrying capacity.

Load-bearing equipment

In order for the character to carry items, they need Load-bearing equipment (LBE), which are divided into four categories: Tactical vest, Backpack, Utility belt, and Leg rigs. A character may wear up to five LBE items; one Vest, one Backpack, one Belt, and two Rigs.

The type of LBE items equipped determine what types and how many items the character may carry.

Inventory

This section actually details the contents of the character's inventory, ordered by LBE categories.

Money and finances

This section of the sheet does NOT detail the physical money carried by the character; these are treated as items in the inventory (see above).

Every character is assumed to have a Bank account. If they don't have one yet, banks in the Mazes will open an account for free and in the space of five minutes, and it can be abstracted or played out at your convenience.

This is the part of their character sheet that lists the amount of money they have in the bank, as well as any credit (or debt) they have with any specific shops and businesses in the Mazes.

Although it is also possible for characters to store items and possessions in a bank account, using the Item Vault service, these items should NOT be listed on the character sheet - instead, a separate document listing every vaulted item should be created. This can be especially important if your character has a large amount of personal possessions stored away in a vault.

Skills

This section of the sheet details all of the character's skill levels, arranged in one of two subcategories: Combat skills and Non-combat skills. Each type of skill is listed, alongside that character's skill level in each, amount of Skill Points, and for combat skills, amount of Training Points.

Notes

This is a blank section of the character sheet which players are encouraged to use to write down anything of note or interest they desire.
