If all conditions are met, a town's mayor may contact the Police to sign a Standard Law contract, which will grant that town's local Town Security the ability to call the Police for backup.

All laws and rules covered by Standard Law are in one of four categories, ordered by importance. The higher the category, the harder the punishment for breaking a law in it.

As a general rule, a person may be charged and punished for an offense as though they were the successful, direct perpetrator, even if the act was only attempted or failed (WIPattempted crime), or if they've helped another person commit the offenses (aiding and abetting). === Grand crimes === Recommended punishment: Arrest and long-time incarceration.
