"Who doesn't know and love the M1 Garand? Once called the greatest battle implement ever devised, the M1 Garand is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, with everything that it implies in terms of performance. Even in a world of modern fighting rifles, some still cling onto their Garand rifles and the kind of power only a .30-06 can deliver. The most famous feature of the rifle is the iconic en-bloc clip used for reloading it; once you fire the last round loaded, it makes the noise every gun enthusiast loves to hear: Ping!"
Hebizuka (quote written by Tempest)

The Springfield M1 Garand (also called M1 Garand, Garand or just M1) is a .30-06 Springfield conventional rifle.

Maze Customs

This weapon can receive a wide array of minor customization services, see the sections below for details.

Outline of M1 Garand modification services

There are five modifications available, grouped into four categories:

  • Tactical conversion: (A) EBR Custom
  • Short barrel modification: (B) T26 Tanker Garand
  • Full-auto conversion + Magazine well: (C) T20 Garand
  • Rechambering options: (D1) M1 Garand Mark 2 (7.62x51mm NATO) or (D2) M1 Garand LBR (.260 Remington)

Each modification is assigned a reference code (A, B, C, D1 and D2), to better keep track of which combination each name is associated to.

Any combination of these modifications can be applied to the M1 Garand (with the exception of rechambering options; obviously, only one of the two can be selected).

One-step modifications

Below is the list of one-step modifications; or in other words, each individual modification available, and their effects on the M1 Garand.

M1 Garand EBR Custom

This package replaces the Garand's old wooden stock with the EBR (Enhanced Battle Rifle) frame, made out of aluminium, steel and polymer. The new stock features a retractable stock, pistol grip, a long optic rail and two long side rails for other accessories. In addition, a threaded barrel is installed, for compatibility with standard muzzle devices.

Reference code: A

Cost: Parallar symbol.png500

Modifications:

  • Stock: Becomes Retractable (RS).
  • Weight: Becomes 22 units.
  • Muzzle: Becomes Standard devices.
  • Optics: Becomes NATO mount.
  • Lights: Becomes 2x Long interface.

T26 Tanker Garand

The Garand's 24-inch barrel and matching front handguard are replaced with the T26 version, also known as the "Tanker Garand". The shorter T26 barrel (18.5 inches long) allows the venerable Garand rifle to retain all of its semi-automatic, clip-fed glory, but in a shorter and handier package, allowing the weapon to be lighter and more maneuverable.

Reference code: B

Cost: Parallar symbol.png300

Modifications:

  • Barrel length: Becomes 18.5 inches.
  • Bayonet compatibility: Becomes None.
  • Weight: Becomes 22 units.

T20 Garand

Thought the Garand needed more firepower? Remove the old, fixed internal magazine, forget about the en-bloc clips (sorry, ping enthusiasts!), and get the rifle fitted with a select-fire option and a magazine from an M1918 BAR, and you get the monstrous T20 Garand, a .30-06 Springfield battle rifle, capable of 650 rounds per minute in full-auto mode!

Reference code: C

Cost: Parallar symbol.png300

Modifications:

  • Category: Becomes Combat rifle
  • Fire modes: Becomes Semi/Full (AutoROF 5)
  • Feeding: Becomes M1918 BAR magazines

Other information

  • Special reloading rules applicable to the M1 Garand (and any modified variant listed above that uses the Garand en-bloc clips): Contrary to popular knowledge, if the rifle still has ammunition loaded, it is possible to reload it; there are two ways to do so, both of which can be performed in the game:
    • Manual reload: You may cause the rifle to extract the clip with any unfired ammunition that it still carries; all that is needed is to press a button on the left side of the rifle, then pull the charging handle, ejecting the chambered round and the clip plus remaining ammo immediately, allowing it to be replaced with a fresh one. When manually reloading the M1 Garand, the chambered round and the clip (plus remaining ammunition), will be dropped on the floor separately, allowing you to spend the turn to reload the rifle, as normal.
    • Top off: You may "top off" an M1 Garand as a reload action, by pulling the bolt back and keep the clip and previously chambered cartridge into the magazine; it is then possible to load the weapon with loose rounds. As such, when "topping off" the M1 Garand, up to 3 rounds per turn can be loaded, as normal for reloading with loose rounds.
  • Bayonet compatibility: M5 bayonet (except for all "B" modifications including the 18.5" barrel)
