SRT Officer

When activated, the role of an SRT Officer is to handle high-risk situations, through the use of what the Police calls special weapons and tactics; carefully-selected equipment and personnel with a keen tactical sense. SRT Officers are famous for their use of SRA armor (Special Response Armor), a set of full-body armor specially designed for use on SRT duty.
To become a member of the Special Response Team, an officer must have served the Police for at least 3 years, not yet have received a promotion to Sergeant, and must be willing to receive advanced training from an existing SRT teamsquad. The training period lasts 12 months and has a very high drop-out rate. At the end of these 12 months, approval from at least 4 out of 5 members of the SRT team is required for a candidate to join the Special Response Team.
Like regular officers, SRT officers can be offered a promotion to the rank of Sergeant during their career, and continue climbing through the Police's hierarchy. Service as part of the SRT is considered to be a mark of prestige, proof of skill and experience.
