"One of the two legendary youkai weapons (古伝の二 武器, koden no ni buki; "two weapons of legend"). Said to have been forged by a kappa called Masazane, a descendant to the kappa swordsmith Muramasa, legends say he realized that one of the greatest threats to the fledgling youkai nation is the dragon threat, so he designed a weapon with which to slay them. The Ryuukiri is a special yari spear, with a specially shaped, extra-long heavy blade, designed to penetrate through the thick scales and hide of a dragon, and reach directly to one of its vital organs. Being a spear of legends, Ryuukiri was said to be as hungry for dragon hearts as Muramasa was hungry for blood."
Hebizuka (quote written by Tempest)

Ryuukiri (Youkai-go: 竜切り, which is approximately translated as Dragonbane or Dragon stopper) is an artifact polearm, part of the staff/pole weapon category.

Obtaining this weapon

This weapon is referred to as an artifact weapon; it cannot be normally found in the Mazes, nor can it be crafted or built.

This weapon is unique. Only one instance of this artifact weapon should exist. It is priceless and cannot be found for sale anywhere.

Stats

This weapon has only one mode available, Thrust.

  • Dragon-killer effect: For every hit against a dragon enemy, (all standard Dragons, angelic Holy Dragon, Silver Blade), the weapon gains one "Dragonheart" point, up to a maximum of 14. At any given moment, if the spear has at least one Dragonheart point, the user may use a special ability called Tsukkomu (突っ込む, "thrust"). When using Tsukkomu, the user is restricted to one attack per turn, but this weapon's LDV is increased by (2 x Dragonheart points). At the maximum of 14 points, LDV is increased by 28 points, for a theoretical maximum LDV of +37. On the next turn after using Tsukkomu, Dragonheart points are reset to 0.
