The Pale Hulker is a creature belonging to the Science experiments category.

Attacks and techniques
This creature has two attacks: Punch and Kick.

Punch and kick
Identical to the basic unarmed combat punch and kick. Maximum attacks per turn is determined by the Martial arts combat skill level.

Equipment
Clothing and armor
This creature can wear human clothing and armor. Their default clothing is as follows:
* Top: Trench-coat
* Body armor: Heavy D armor vest
* Bottom: Cargo pants (plain)
* Footwear: Military boots

Load-bearing equipment
* Tactical vest: SOBR Assault vest
* Utility belt: Shotshell carrier

Equipment and inventory
Pale Hulkers may have one of four different sets of items (roll 1d4 per insectoid to determine):

Set 1
Equipped weapons:
* Primary 1: Daewoo USAS-12 (10+1 /8, 9x 12 gauge, Standard P-Buck)

Inventory:
* SOBR Assault vest, Ammunition 1: 3x USAS-12 10-round magazines, (Each: 10 /10, 10x 12 gauge, Standard P-Buck)

Set 2
Equipped weapons:
* Primary 1: Colt M1918 BAR with a 30-round magazine (30 /30, 30x .30-06 Springfield, Standard FMJ)

Inventory:
* SOBR Assault vest, Ammunition 1: 3x M1918 BAR 30-round magazines, (Each: 30 /30, 30x .30-06 Springfield, Standard FMJ)

Set 3
Equipped weapons:
* Primary: Greatsword

Inventory:
* None

Set 4
Equipped weapons:
* Primary: Sledgehammer

Inventory:
* None

Other information
Skills:
* Combat skills: Basic (all combat skills)
* Non-combat skills: Unskilled (all non-combat skills)

Creature traits:
* Regenerates health: This creature will regenerate 4 HP per turn on 1 body part. The body part healed is the one with the lowest HP (in case of a tie, a randomly chosen body part among all of those with the lowest HP).
* Special weak point: This possesses a special weak point, the LSS tube, located on the creature's neck (counts as being on the HEAD group).
** If this weak point is hit, the tube is destroyed. Doing so does not cause damage to the creature, but instead disables their health regenerating trait (see above). A destroyed LSS tube can no longer be targeted again.

Overview
Lore

Certain creatures in the Mazes are the result of past scientific experiments that have, for one reason or another, either gone wrong or been released into the Uncivilized Area, where they proceeded to "go native" and become one of the many species of creatures inhabiting the UA.

Hulkers (always capitalized) are heavily genetically altered humans, made to be taller, stronger, more muscular, and above all, near-impervious to pain. They are easily recognized by their albino complexion, grayish-silver hair, enormous muscles, and incredibly violent behavior. They are not believed to be fully feral, but none has been spotted uttering spoken words. They do, however, seem to understand spoken languages, suggesting that whatever mutations they have gone through have not completely eliminated their sapience. As of today, Hulkers are classified as non-sapient, but experts are currently divided on whether to consider them sapient (and therefore, potentially human).

They possess an average height of 6 feet and an average weight of 300 pounds. Although both males and females exist, field observations and analysis have revealed that they are completely sterile and therefore incapable of reproducing, which suggests that there is a fixed population of these creatures and that their numbers should, in theory, only go down.

Hulkers are believed to have been created as part of an ancient super-soldier project, and that whatever mishap caused the experiment to go wrong was also what caused these creatures to have been released into the UA. Their extreme violence is attributed to manipulations at the cognitive level, as the only thing they are not willing to attack is other Hulkers. This suggests that they are capable of recognizing their own species as "friendly". Unfortunately, they see all other species as "enemy".

Having retained their dexterity and humanoid shape, Hulkers can use weapons, wear load-bearing equipment and human clothing and armor. They are most frequently found wearing heavy body armor, but very rarely helmets. Their favorite weapons include shotguns, machine guns, big bore revolvers, and melee such as swords, sledgehammers, or morning stars Curiously, it seems that their bulk has made them relatively slow, making them lack agility or striking power if forced to fight with their fists and feet. Field observations revealed that their punches and kicks hit no harder than a regular human's, despite the greatly increased muscle mass.

Regen Hulkers are the stronger of the two types of Hulkers, largely due to the special life support system (LSS) installed deep inside of their bodies. They can be differentiated from regular Pale Hulkers by the presence of an exposed plastic tube at the neck, carrying an orange fluid. This fluid is responsible for the Regen Hulker's titular ability; the ability to regenerate damage dealt to their bodies at an extremely accelerated pace, thus letting them survive even more damage.

The recommended method to deal with a Regen Hulker, aside from fleeing the second you see one, is to aim for the exposed tube at their necks and destroy it, cutting the flow of the regenerating fluid and thus denying them their health regeneration. Once this is done, the same strategy as with Pale Hulkers apply; bleed them out or destroy the head, and do not play to their strengths.
