Gemstone ores contain raw, natural crystals which are suitable for refining, cutting and polishing into [[Valuables#Gemstones|gemstones]].
Like metal ores, gemstone ore is found in ore bundles. However, their mass does not directly translate to value; instead, '''for every 50 grams of gemstone ore bundle, one corresponding gemstone may be extracted'''. This means that any gemstone Gemstone ore bundles with a mass are always generated in multiples of 49 50 grams or less are effectively worthless.* E.g.: A 48 gram bundle , as such it is possible to easily determine the amount of raw spinel doesn't have enough to produce any gemstones. A 78 gram bundle will carry carried within one gemstone. A 102 gram bundle will carry 2 gemstones, and so on and so forth: simply divide its mass in grams by 50.
When exchanging gemstone ore for gemstones at an ore bank, you will obtain '''[[identification|identified but unappraised]]''' gemstones.
