{{Lore}}
A short bovine creature, raised largely for its milk and meat, and sometimes as pets.
Mini zebus are a type of bovine creature, famous for their short size and ease of domestication. They are generally kept as cattle in traditional land farms, in herds of various sizes. The term "mini" comes from the fact that they resemble miniature cows.
Adult specimens are rarely any taller than 3 foot 6 inches tall, and are so docile and responsive to affection that they could be considered pets. Males weigh 200 to 230 pounds on average, and with the exception of certain males kept for breeding (referred to as ''bulls''), they are typically raised for meat (''steers''). Females weigh 160 to 190 pounds and are referred to as ''heifers'' when they haven't given birth to babies (''calves'') yet, and as ''cows'' when they have. The latter are generally raised for milkmeat as well, and though some are sometimes adopted by farmers as personal pets.
As with other bovines, the meat of mini zebu, generally referred to as ''beef'', is prized for its taste and its inclusion in many recipes; therefore it is considered more valuable. Although it is rare nowadays, it is still possible to find mini zebu in the 'wild', in the Uncivilized Area. They are generally animals that have escaped a town's farm area, though some herds can still be found living in the wild, typically in outside areas where grass exists and therefore can be grazed on.
