A semi-automatic pistol platform based on the original Glock design, employing a short frame for small to medium-caliber pistol cartridges. The original Glock-SF pistol is the [[Glock 17]] in [[9x19mm Parabellum]].
Glock-SF pistols are recognizable by their polymer frame, distinctly blocky looks, and the lack of manual safeties, instead featuring a unique "safe-action" trigger-mounted safety.
Any ''full-size'' firearm based on the Glock design using the original short frame is considered to be a Glock-SF. Large-caliber full size models are [[Maze Customs:Major mods#Glock Large Frame (Glock-LF)|Glock-LFs]], while compact and subcompact models are not at all considered to be either Glock-SF or Glock-LF pistols, despite the similar looks and mechanisms, as they are not full-size.
