Without janitors, all of the bodies and body parts left strewn about after a fight would be left to rot and emit horrendous odors. If left unchecked, the miasma eventually becomes toxic, rendering the room difficult to traverse at best, and unlivable at worst.
Janitors usually operate in towns and intersections, where the need to keep rooms clean and livable is the highest; however, they are also frequently dispatched into the UA, particularly to clean rooms on frequently-traveled roads.
