"This is nothing more than the 7.62x39mm version of the AK-12-1. If you kept that AKM the entire time because you didn't want to let go of that 7.62x39mm power, it's now time for you to upgrade."

Trivia

  • All AK-12 rifles featured in the game (as well as the SVK-12) are based on the original 2012 prototypes of the AK-12 rifle series, rather than the later production models made by Kalashnikov Concern, which did not yet exist at the time they were added to the game. The author has decided to intentionally keep the prototypes instead of replacing them with the more modern rifles, out of personal preference.
  • The listed manufacturer is IZHMASH, which still existed in 2012. The merger of IZHMASH and IZHMEKH which resulted in the creation of a new company now known as Kalashnikov Concern occurred in 2013.
  • The designation AK-12-2 is not official. Because nearly all AK-12 prototypes were simply designated "AK-12", the numbered suffix is a creative liberty that was added to differentiate each model.
