Minor grammatical changes
The giant spiny viper is a gigantic version of the spiny bush viper (''[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheris_hispida atheris hispida]''), averaging at 12 feet of length and 200 pounds of weight when fully grown.
These giant snakes possess a particularly intimidating appearance, with bright yellow and black scales armed with short, but sharp spikes, causing forcing any creature attempting to hit or bite them to stab themselves on these natural defenses. As with any venomous snake, they also possess large fangs and the ability to deliver venom during a bite. Uncannily, they are also capable of striking targets with head-butts, using their spiny armor as makeshift horns with which they can deliver multiple puncture wounds at once, thus causing potentially severe bleeding.
Despite their scary appearance, these scales are not actually hard enough to be considered bullet-resistant. As such, they can actually be defeated with more ease than other, truly armored reptiles, such as the [[crocodile]] or the [[giant thorny lizard]]. To destroy these creatures, simply use any sufficiently sensible weapon you have at your disposal, and make sure to keep them out of biting or headbutting range.
