The giant spiny viper is a gigantic version of the spiny bush viper (''[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheris_hispida atheris hispida]''), averaging at 12 feet of length and 200 pounds of weight when fully grown.
These giant snakes possess a particularly intimidating appearance, with bright yellow and black scales armed with short, but sharp spikes, causing any creature attempting to hit or bite them to stab themselves on these natural defenses. As with any venomous snake, they also possess large fangs and the ability to deliver venom during a bite. Uncannily, they are also capable of striking targets with head-butts, using their spiny armor as makeshift horns with which they can deliver multiple puncture wounds at once, thus causing potentially severe bleeding.
