When standing on all four legs, the gavodborz can already be considered to be a massive creature, with an average height of 5 foot 6 inches and a weight of 240 lbs. However, the borz, as it is sometimes shortened, has the uncanny ability to stand on its hind legs and walk (though only for short distances). It is believed that this ability is largely for intimidation, as standing up its height to nearly seven feet, frequently growinggrowling, howling, and beating its chest with its claws while doing so, akin to an enraged [[gorilla]]. All gavodborzes have gray or silvery fur. Eye color is either reddish-brown or black.
It is a notoriously intimidating and murderous beast, seemingly enjoying making a show out of tearing apart its opponents, eating their remains, or splattering blood over their faces or their bodies. This suggests that the gavodborz has enough intelligence to be ''knowingly'' scary to other creatures, and that it is making efforts to be as intimidating as it is dangerous. Unsurprisingly, the gavodborz is a carnivorous creature, its diet being composed nearly entirely of meat supplemented with bone, which it is capable of crushing to small chunks with its teeth, which it will then chew and swallow; presumably as a method of supplementing the diet with phosphate.
