Canteens are special food items which also count as [[Key items]].
They are special Weight 2 items with the ability to be '''filled with up to 4 parts of water'''. Because the canteen counts as a key item, it can be carrier on an [[LBE|utility belt's key item pouch]], thus taking no inventory space in other LBE elements.
1 part of canteen water is equal to 1 bottle of water (0 ntri, 169 wtr), and they can be refilled using bottles of water. There's also no real difference between mineral water and tap water, so canteens may also be refilled using tap water. A full canteen (4 parts) can therefore replenish up to 676 wtr.
