Feathered serpents are large creatures resembling giant snakes, with the head of a [[dragon]] and a pair of angelic wings. They are armored with shimmering, sky-blue scales, and naturally, are capable of flying as well. The original [[Languages|Angelic language]] word is nigh-unpronounceable, but is said to roughly transliterate to "winged snake"; so the name "feathered serpent" was chosen as its official Common name.

Feathered serpents are unique creatures; though they cannot speak, they are highly intelligent and capable of understanding any language, and possess magical abilities in three distinct domains.
