== Bio ==
 
Fireball was born in the town of [[Masatomo]] to a large, loving family of youkai. Ever since she was young, she had a tendency to act out and seek thrills, leading to her becoming known as something of a delinquent. In an attempt to rein her in, she was sent to the local [[Dojo]] to train with the town's makari-dan, where she initially took to it well, quickly mastering the swordsmanship skills that are a hallmark of all [[makaryuudo]]. Shortly before her 32nd birthday, and after spending half her life with the makaryuudo, she was caught high on a combination of desoxyn and cocaine, leading to her being summarily ejected from the makari-dan and shunned by all makaryuudo for sullying the good name of the organization.
 
To put it mildly, she was undeterred, and continued to wander the world as a sword-for-hire, often exchanging her services for drugs, sex, or any other thrill she could find. While MAIM normally frowns upon drug use by its members, Fireball's skills speak for themselves, and she was allowed into the organization. Prospective employers are warned that her bad history with makaryuudo will lead to, at best, cold shoulders from the youkai swordsmen; in extreme cases they might choose to kill her.
 
== Personality ==
 
Fireball is nothing if not a thrill seeker, and is the least money-motivated of all the mercenaries in MAIM. She's always looking for her next adrenaline rush, and is almost always high on some cocktail of recreational drugs. Even when sober, she is energetic and always bouncing off the walls, which is the origin of her callsign. She never puts anything less than 200% into what she does, and is often knee-deep in spent brass at the end of combat - if she's not painted red from head-to-toe with her enemies' blood.
 
She's remained quiet on how she feels about the makaryuudo, with some suspecting she regrets the choices she made leading up to her ejection from the Masatomo makari-dan. She still carries the daisho, and regularly practices with her swords in the traditional fashions makaryuudo employ. Fireball is also known to play the shakuhachi in her spare time. Conversely, her hard-partying habits and lack of remorse for violence suggests she was never a good fit for the makaryuudo, and she's never admitted to regretting how her life turned out.
