Attacks and techniques

This creature has four attacks: Poison bite, Frost beam, Mist ball, Poison darts and Acid ball.

Poison bite

Damage type Range MAPT IS LDV Pain (C1) Pain (C2) Pain (A1) Pain (A2) Pain (A3) Pain (A4) Pain (A5)
Sharp Melee 2 3 +0 26% 23% 21% 17% 13% 7% 1%
  • On a successful hit, inflicts Venom +2.

Frost beam

Damage type Range MAPT IS LDV Pain (All ACs)
Spec-Ice Ranged 4 14 +1 26%

Mist ball

Damage type Range MAPT IS LDV Pain (All ACs)
Spec-Aqua Ranged 1 9 N N/A
  • Inflicts no Pain or Limb Damage.
  • The purpose of this attack is to generate a mist cloud on the Side in which it lands. The attack does not need to be aimed at any particular creature, as the cloud will affect every creature on the same Side.

Mist cloud

Mist clouds are a monster equivalent to smoke clouds, such as those generated by smoke grenades. They have the following properties:

  • Engulfs an entire Side of the battlespace, affecting every creature inside.
  • Lasts for 2 turns, at the end of which the cloud dissipates, and the effects listed below cease.
  • All creatures inside the cloud suffer from a FT+2 malus. As a Spec-Aqua attack, it also causes Water-soaked. These hazards cannot be mitigated by the Immunity to gases effect, such as one given by a gas mask.
  • All creatures outside the cloud suffer from a IR+2 malus, if aiming at creatures inside the cloud.

Dice results:

  • A critical success will double the length of the mist cloud's life (4 turns instead of 2 turns).
  • A regular success will result in the normal effects of the mist cloud occurring.
  • A failure still results in a mist cloud occurring, but for only 1 turn instead of the normal amount.
  • A critical failure results in the mist ball disintegrating before it can create a mist cloud, thus failing entirely.

Poison darts

Damage type Range MAPT IS LDV Pain (C1) Pain (C2) Pain (A1) Pain (A2) Pain (A3) Pain (A4) Pain (A5)
Piercing Ranged 4 9 -3 9% 8% 7% 6% 5% 2% 0%

Damage type Range MAPT IS LDV Pain (All ACs)
Special Ranged 1 9 N N/A
  • Inflicts no Pain or Limb Damage.
  • The purpose of this attack is to generate a chlorine gas cloud on the Side in which it lands. The attack does not need to be aimed at any particular creature, as the cloud will affect every creature on the same Side.

Mamono (魔物) is a Youkai-go term which means "evil spirit". It is a category of creatures that have appeared in the Mazes alongside youkai, which possess a range of magical abilities and traits. Whereas youkai are sapient, civilized creatures that have integrated into society and communities, mamono are feral monsters residing in the Uncivilized Area, being one more category of dangerous creatures that can be found there.

Daijami is a Youkai-go term which can be translated to "great wicked spirit".

The daijami is the mature form of a jami, reaching this stage after 30 years. They later evolve into their elder oujami form after 60 years.

A daijami is larger, tougher and overall more dangerous than a regular jami. Their average dimensions are overall higher; their length increases to about 9 feet, their height reaches 3 feet 3 inches, and their weight can now go up to 400 pounds. Their hide also changes coloration, going from blue to purple.

The daijami develops longer fangs, which now have the ability to deliver venom, thus transforming their bites into poison bites. They also gain the ability to fire more frost beams and poison darts than normal, and they gain a new ability: the acid ball attack, which generates clouds of highly toxic chlorine gas.

Upon dying, even their self-sabotaging process is improved. The instant they die, the daijami's body instantly bursts, releasing a cloud of chlorine gas similar to the ones caused by the acid ball. If you primarily use melee weapons or techniques, be very careful if you must fight a daijami, as you will be likely caught in that cloud the second the creature dies. Bring a gas mask if possible!
