Engineering '''Specifications Documents''', or simply '''Specs Docs''', are folders full of advanced technical documentation for various projects and prototypes, but which were lost at some point. They contain information about very advanced objects that cannot be crafted directly by a player character. The purpose of Specs Docs files is to exchange them to the special Proving Grounds engineer in the Calfair Sector workshop, in order to unlock additional, special items for sale, exclusively available at that workshop; these items are known as '''Specs Docs-only items'''.
