Caminus was founded on Pentema 18 of the year E7-360, as part of the [[History of the Mazes#Era 7|Angelic Faith-Driven Expansion Plan]], officially intended to renew interest in Angelic faith and values, which resulted in an expansion of Heaven's reach and influence across the Mazes. It was the first of four towns founded during this planm plan, before [[Alba Radium]].
Of the towns founded during the Faith-Driven Expansion Plan, Caminus grew to become the largest, becoming the second most populous Angelic town, behind [[Cloud Ten]]. It is home to a large and diverse population, with a slight majority of [[humans]] and about equal [[halflings]], [[youkai]] and [[Angelics|angelic creatures]].
