While pandas are a type of bear, they are easily the least dangerous. Easily recognizable by their black-and-white fur, pandas are large, yet docile creatures spending the majority of their time sleeping or eating grass, moss, small animals, and, on occasion, food abandoned by adventurers or raiders.

On average, a panda on all fours is about 3 to 4 feet tall and 5 feet 6 inches long. They usually weigh in the 200 to 250-pound range, although some individuals have been observed reaching up to 300 pounds. They are generally shy and solitary creatures, and the lifecycle of sleeping and eating is only occasionally broken by the rare mating season.

When facing danger, the panda generally flees, preferring to run away from confrontations than display violence. This aversion to fighting should not be confused for weakness, however. If cornered, the panda will claw and bite back, and its bear-like strength will make itself clear to the unlucky creatures on the receiving end.

Although the idea of a large, docile creature that doesn't like fighting may seem like an easy and profitable way of making money for hunters, the panda is a famous exception. Few hunters go after the panda, not because it is rare or difficult to kill, but instead because its meat is universally considered terrible to eat. While a competently killed and butchered panda may yield a significant quantity of meat, it is not considered particularly valuable (some may even call it undesirable), and eating panda meat should only be considered in cases of desperate survival.
