.44 AMP is a type of ammunition for firearms. It is classified as a (P)istol caliber. It was originally designed for the AMC Auto Mag.

.44 AMP is pronounced forty-four A-M-P. AMP stands for Auto Mag Pistol.

This caliber may also be known as .44 Automag or .44 Auto Mag. There is no formal metric designation for this caliber, but if one existed, it would likely be 10.9x33mm; essentially, the same as .44 Magnum's metric designation, but without the R for Rimmed. The use of this designation is, as such, not recommended.
